Casey Gardner
Casey Gardner is a former college point guard with four years of training experience and a vision for what youth basketball in the Cedar Rapids area can become. He tallied over 1,300 points and 700 assists at Dunkerton High School — a top-10 mark in Iowa high school record books — and went on to play point guard at Buena Vista University. After coaching at Iowa Prep and Beyond Ball for two years, Casey founded Pure Point Basketball to build something different: a program that develops the things players are actually in control of. Positive attitudes. Relentless work ethic. The ability to guard at a top-tier level. And on top of that, a real understanding of the game — concepts, decision-making, and read-based development. Casey is USA Gold Certified, holds an Iowa High School Coaching License, was a 2x All-State high school player, and has reached the state tournament as a player. Today he runs five AAU teams, coaches two of them directly, and is building out a dedicated skills training program based at Elevate Sports in Hiawatha, IA. What Casey wants athletes to leave Pure Point with isn't a stat line — it's the conviction that if they are willing to put the work in, they can get wherever they want to go. On the court and off it.
